WORTON — The Kent County Chamber of Commerce welcomed Clayton Contracting Inc. to the Kent County business community with a ribbon-cutting ceremony July 12 in front of the company’s newly purchased equipment.
Immediately afterward, Clayton Contracting hosted a business after-hours mixer at Molly’s Restaurant. The event provided both great food and networking opportunities.
According to a news release, the ribbon-cutting and mixer were well attended by Chamber of Commerce board members and local business leaders, as well as friends and family.
“I am excited to welcome Clayton Contracting as a member of the Kent County Chamber of Commerce and thankful to them for hosting such a wonderful event. Our members and the Kent County community will benefit greatly in having such experienced professionals providing valuable services to the local area,” Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Sarah King said as she introduced the new business owners.
Clayton Contracting Inc. is owned and operated by David and Stefanie Clayton, who are Kent County natives.
The business officially started operations earlier this year and has completed several commercial and residential projects.
“We are excited to offer our services to Kent County and the surrounding area,” David Clayton said in the news release. “With over 22 years of experience in the industry, we pride ourselves on fast completion times and quality work.”
Clayton Contracting offers construction services including excavation, seal coating and asphalt services; line striping; driveways/stone/concrete services; and septic systems.
